Experience the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) Basic Rider Course with us, Motorcycle Rider Training (MRT) at Raceway Park, Englishtown, NJ
The primary goal of the Basic RiderCourse is to provide an introduction to the fundamentals of safe, responsible motorcycling. This includes the knowledge and skills that lead to licensing and motorcycle operation on the streets and highways.
After successfully completing the Basic RiderCourse, which includes a written test and a riding skill evaluation, you will receive a MSF Completion Card and a State of NJ M.O.S.T Form eliminating the need to take the riding test at MVC.
The course consists of classroom and on-motorcycle instruction. The classroom is approx 8 hours with 12 hours of on-motorcycle instruction in our enclosed lot.
Our Rider Coaches are Certified Nationally by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) and the State of New Jersey. Additionally most of our RiderCoaches are also Certified Instructors for The Rider's Edge New Rider Course with Harley Davidson Motor Company and the Evergreen Safety Council for Sidecar/Trike operation.
You must be at least 17 years of age to register and will require written parent consent if under the age of 18.
You the student are responsible for:
A valid motorcycle permit. This means you have taken and passed the written and vision test at MVC and your permit has not expired.
You must be in good health. The course is physically and mentally demanding.
You must be able to balance and ride a bicycle.
D.O.T. approved helmet
Full fingered gloves
Over the ankle boots
Heavy weight jeans
Long sleeves-jacket preferred
Rain Gear-just in case! Expect to ride rain or shine
Food snacks and water. Lunch will be available on site for an additional fee.
Our fleet consists NEW Kawasaki's: 125cc, 250cc 500cc motorcycles. You will be fitted to the motorcycle that best fits your height and weight.
All times are approximate and all sessions are mandatory.
